Title
Scandal at American endoscopy clinic escalates.
Abstract
The article reports on the medical scandal involving the Endoscopy Centre in Southern Nevada. More than 40,000 people have been identified as candidates for hepatitis C testing after being treated at that clinic where syringes and single-dose routinely reused to anaesthetise multiple patients. The clinic was promptly shut down, its business license revoked and Dr. Dipak Desai, the owner, fined $500,000.
