- Title
Molecular organization and chromosomal localization of 5S rDNA in Amazonian Engystomops (Anura, Leiuperidae).
- Abstract
The article presents a study which aims at comparing molecular organization and chromosomal localization of 5S recombinant DNA (rDNA) in two Amazonian species Engystomops (E.) freibergi and Engystomops petersi. In the study the 5S rDNA sequences of E. freibergi and two populations of E. petersi were isolated and their chromosomal locations were mapped. It concludes the relation of 5S rDNA in Engystomops to Physalaemus in respect to their chromosomal locations and nucleotide sequence.
