- Abstract
The article offers poetry criticism of the serialized poetry collection "Poetical Catalogue of Pictures" by Letitia Elizabeth Landon (L. E. L.) in the periodical "The Literary Gazette" from March to August 1823. Poems addressed include "Different Thoughts; Suggested by a Picture by G. S. Newton, No 16, in the British Gallery, and representing a Girl looking at her Lover's Miniature," "Stothard's Erato," and "Vandyke Consulting His Mistress." The relation of art to poetry is analyzed.
