- Abstract
«Images of Justice in the Aesthetics of the Law». Political philosophy must analyze not only the concepts and texts of the canon but also metaphors and artistic representations. This article examines how the images of Justice historically have changed from ancient Mesopotamia to the present day. Focusing on the question of Justice's blindness or being clear-sighted, the article points out eight iconographic traditions that have expressed various ways of answering the question: Should Justice possess an unlimited sight that penetrates even the heart of human beings or should she be blind to treat all people equally?
