- Abstract
The article discusses how a high school in New Zealand works to encourage student and family participation in educational planning through the 3EPlan student-centered educational planning strategy. Engage, envisage, and enact are elements of the strategy, which combine the Circle of Courage philosophy with the technique of graphic facilitation. The process gave students responsibilities for the planning meetings, which helped to increase student participation and engagement, and the 3EPlan allowed for more student-centered individual education program (IEP) development.
