- Abstract
A literary criticism of the play "Coriolanus," by William Shakespeare is presented. It examines the actions by the Roman hero Coriolanus in which he mask his vulnerabilities through displays of force and aggression, Coriolanus' rejection of tradition and the role of his mother in it, and Coriolanus' confidence in the superiority of himself and his class.
