Palaeontology: Feathered dinosaurs in a tangle.
- Authors
Witmer, Lawrence M.
- Abstract
The article reports on the significance of the findings of the study related to paleontology, conducted by D. Hu and colleagues. It states that the study, which presents a new specimen of the feathered theropod Anchiornis huxleyi from the Jurassic of China, can solve some problems on temporal paradox particularly the issue on evolutionary prediction. The author also suggests that the findings of the study show that apart from feathers and aerodynamics, Anchiornis reveals the similarity of early paravians to each other.
