- Abstract
Bacillus cereus isolated from fish gut (Channa punctatus) produced more thermoalkalophilic xylanase, when grown in submerged circumstances with readily available substrates. Agro-residual substrates have been used in a range of applications, including mango wood and guava powder forlarge-scale production of xylanase. The ability of purified xylanase to produce high-quality xylo-oligosaccharides suggests that it is used not just in pulp bio-bleaching processes but also in the nutraceutical industry.
