SLAYTON, WILLIAM L.
- Abstract
The article discusses issues related to conservation in city development. It has been stated that "conservation" has been defined clearly in the Housing Act of 1954, but there are still some confusions regarding it. It has been stated that conservation is a program to maintain the economic and social values of a neighborhood and aimed at maintaining and improving physical standards of it. It has been stated that conservation is similar to redevelopment and is for prolonging the economic and social life of an area for many years. It has also been stated that the aim of conservation is to provide and develop possible amenities in newer areas.
