- Abstract
The article discusses the changes in the government's attitude towards property ownership and mortgage finance in the U.S. It states that two revolutions in the history of the U.S. state housing policy have happened, including one which began by abolishment of feudal system, and the second which began around Great Depression and involved awareness of proper use of land resources. According to it these changes have caused changes in attitude and legislations related to property ownership, land use and mortgages. It further discusses the implications of government's attitude changes on future legislation on real property.
