- Abstract
Saxophone plays a significant role in contemporary music. This is evidenced by the number of compositions written for this musical instrument in recent years. From many composers of the creative environment of Wrocław, the author of the paper has chosen four artists, who in recent years have composed valuable pieces for saxophone, and with its participation. They are such outstanding artists as Krystian Kiełb, Robert Kurdybacha, Mirosław Gąsieniec, and Adam Porębski. The list of their works and brief analyses of numerous musical examples and concert recordings are supplemented with the musicians' biographical profiles and general achievements. These artists' works have significantly enriched the modern saxophone literature.
