- Title

- Authors
SANDERS, PAUL H.
- Abstract
The article discusses types of labor disputes and how they can be settled in the U.S. It states that one of the ways to classify them is in terms of forms of pressure exerted by workers on the industry or vice-versa. One of the disputes is regarding recognition of union in which union presents a demand on the behalf on the workers but employer refuses to acknowledge them as their representative. Another dispute is related to contract negotiations in which disputes are regarding initial agreements as well as provisions that are subjected to change. It highlights that one of the ways to solve them is discussion or negotiations without help from external agency. It mentions that one can also solve the matter through compulsory arbitration in which third party resolves the issue.
