- Title
MEDICAL TESTIMONY IN PERSONAL INJURY CASES.
- Authors
ELLIOTT, FREDERIC E.; SPILLMAN, RAMSAY
- Abstract
The article focuses on the medical testimony in accident cases. It reports on the suggestions by legal writers regarding the changes needed to be implemented in the accident and personal injury cases. It reports that according to legal writers, the rules governing the role of the expert witness in criminal and civil litigation have been a source of dissatisfaction to the jury and scientific professions. It reports on the hypothetical improvements suggested by the writers where cases will be settled on a dispassionate examination of facts and, medical expert witnesses will only be working for the court instead of plaintiffs or the defendants.
