- Abstract
The article focuses on the perception of theologian Reinhold Niebuhr of Jews in the U.S. Niebhur discusses the centrality of sin and that evil was pervasive and incurable which was not a acceptable for most Jews despite the sufferings that occurred to them during the 1940's. Neibhur was the first known Protestant to direct attention on antisemitism in Germany which was one way of showing his concern for the plights of the Jews in Europe. He mounted his campaign against pacifism during the 1930's. He offered aid to American Zionist to organize the Christian Council on Palestine which support the campaign for a Jewish national homeland.
