- Abstract
The present study conduct to investigate some of the histopathological effects of the paraquat insecticide toxicity in Cyprinus carpio L. (50 )fish were taken from the common carp fingerlings obtained from the lakes of the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Basrah. The fish were randomly divided into five groups(n = 10) as following: GI served as control group, the remaining forth groups (GII, GIII, GIV, GV) were treated to the following concentrations of theparaquat insecticide (25, 50, 75, 100 mg / L) respectively for 96 hours. After this time the fish were discarded and liver, heart and intestine were taken for histopathological examination .The intensity of histopathological results were concentration dependent in all tissue section of experiment groups.
