- Abstract
This article poses what is meant to be the great leap from the analogue to the digital world. Perhaps repetitive and monotonous, the issue will not ignore what we think we know compared to what we need to know. While it is true that the world is transforming in a surprising way and at an irrational speed, it must be recognized that the level of beliefs and assumptions grow more each day in reverse of the ability to interpret the reality of events. In the past fifty years, the world has lost its sense of humanity - ethics and service. We have lost our vocation as family and we aspire to live with a minimum of order and security in the face of increased uncertainty. In the meantime, the new generations (Digital Natives) are struggling to achieve something that is uncertain. Therefore, an analysis is provided which we must submit the reality of the world around us. Is there in our environment the possibility to consider ourselves members of the «information society»? Does the fact of being «surrounded by information», improve our capacity to know and understand the reality of the world? If the family and college meet their educational role and training to face the challenges of the so-called «digital convergence», what is the result and what challenges does it pose to the ones who will take part in the university task?
