- Abstract
The article discusses a study which determined the usefulness of waist circumference (WC), waist-to-hip ratio (WHR), waist-to-height ratio (WHeiR) and body mass index (BMI) as indicators for coronary artery disease (CAD) in Taiwanese type 2 diabetic patients. The findings showed that the indicators were highly intercorrelated and, excluding BMI for men, all differed significantly between patients with and without CAD in either sex.
