- Abstract
An interview with professor Sam Lake of Monash University, located in Victoria, Australia, is presented. When asked about his passion for large-scale restoration of river systems, he explains the factors that motivated him to enter this field. Lake outlines his relationships with the Tasmanian Conservation Board and the Australian Conservation Board during the campaign to save lake Pedder in Tasmania. Lake also comments on the need for environmental monitoring and regeneration.
