Abstract
The article looks at the attitudes of U.S. financial executives expressed in various fall 2012 surveys. It reports an increasing level of pessimism about the U.S. economy, saying that many respondents cited the impact of global market conditions as a factor. Other factors cited as concerns in the surveys include health care costs, petroleum prices, and consumer confidence.
