- Abstract
Surface waves are excited by an antenna placed near the sheet to observe how TM surface waves propagate. In the experiment to generate TM-mode surface waves within the microwave range, several surface wave launchers are commonly used such as Yagi-Uda like antennas [[47]], flared microstrips [[48]], or trapezoidal launchers [[23]]. Here, we introduce nonlinear circuit components that can determine the open or short state of the circuit depending on the power level or waveform type of the incident waves; this mechanism allows us to create impedance surfaces that demonstrate power dependency or waveform selectivity.
