- Abstract
The author reflects on the efforts to prevent the spread of the Zika virus worldwide as of mid-2016. Also cited are the neurological disorders associated with the Zika virus like congenital microcephaly, the cases of Zika virus infections in such countries as Brazil, Colombia, and Panama, and the signs and symptoms of infection in infants like ocular abnormalities, feeding difficulties, and craniofacial disproportion.
