- Title
Temporal characteristics and variability of point rainfall: a statistical and wavelet analysis.
- Authors
Beecham, S.; Chowdhury, R. K.
- Abstract
The article presents an analysis of rainfall characteristics in relation to various temporal resolutions fundamental to sustainable urban water management in Melbourne, Victoria. It explores and identifies the temporal characteristics and measures the variability of point rainfall in the said area. It shows the correlation between rainfall intensities and rainfall depths and reveals that homogeneity of rainfall intensity increases as the temporal scale also increases.
