- Title
Binders Available For American Sociologist.
- Abstract
This article reports on the availability of a binder capable of holding the ten copies in each yearly volume of The American Sociologist as of February 1972. One of the most common reservations about the shift from a journal to a tabloid format for this publication involves the problem of storage. The Executive Office staff winces when the new product is termed a throw-away, but we realize that the tendency exists. Part of the solution may depend upon simply persuading readers that issues are worth preserving. But in the grand U.S. tradition, we can ill-afford to spurn the aid of technology. Accordingly, we have now developed binders that are available at cost for interested readers. The binders are tabloid size and designed to hold all ten copies in each yearly volume. They are made of black heavy stock with the title of the publication and the volume stamped in gold lettering on the front. The left-hand border is fitted with a plastic strip that is easily removed and replaced while inserting new issues. The price is $1. Simply send a check for this amount to the ASA, and a binder will be sent out to you immediately.
