- Abstract
The article "Social Networks and Identity: Adolescent Challenge?" is a critical analysis of the influence of social networks on the construction of contemporary teenagers' identity. It emphasizes that social networks play a relevant role in the lives of current teenagers and present themselves as new spaces for socialization that shape new subjectivities. Additionally, it addresses the importance of digital narratives and their possible influence on adolescent identity. It mentions that the use of social networks can influence identity construction, but it can also present risks such as the creation of false identities and the lack of boundaries between the public and the private. It suggests that understanding the influence of social networks on identity construction can help clarify possible causes of labile and fragile identities.
