- Abstract
The article presents an analysis of the fiction works composed by German-speaking exile writers in Great Britain between 1933-45. The author thinks that the works of these exile writers strongly reflect the contemporary sociocultural reality of their native country. He says that male authors usually sketched novels on the lines of popular detective model to provide an interesting plot and question on basic concepts of culture and society, whereas female authors usually depicted social dilemmas.
