The article focuses on the problem of power in the plays of Soviet author Andrei Platonov. It discusses the philosophy of Platonov's plays, which exhibit practically the philosophical-anthropological attitude toward the Other. It discusses how the dynamics of Self and Other are central to Platonov's staged compositions which are philosophically rich but often staged poorly.
