- Title
The Analysis of Interest and the History of Economic Thought.
- Authors
Walter, Ryan
- Abstract
The author examines the significance of interest theory in the conduct of the third Anglo-Dutch War of 1672-1674. He contends that interest theory has not been generally treated as a language of political argument despite its influence in continental and English writings. The secularizing effects of interest theory and the intrinsic dangers in the idea of a political language are addressed. Analytical moves that typified the examination of the interstate affairs of England are also discussed.
