- Abstract
The authors comment on the results of two surveys of patient-ventilator asynchrony (PVA) detection by critical care physicians. Cited are the deficiencies in the identification of PVA, the solutions to achieving reliable patient-ventilator discordance recognition at the bedside, and how by integrating technological advancements and educational reform can help bridge the gap.
