- Abstract
The article focuses on the analysis of the legal framework for civil society in Burundi. Topics discussed include the enjoyment of freedom of peaceful assembly which must be guaranteed to individuals, the goal of the law on assemblies and public demonstrations which is to comply with international standards about peaceful assemblies, and the purpose of the legislation which is to serve as a guide in the decision making of administrative authorities.
