- Abstract
A good assemblage of organic-walled microbiota has been discovered from the petrographic thin sections of the black-bedded chert of the Bhander limestone, exposed at Sajjanpur area of Satna district and Ramnoi area of Rewa District, Madhya Pradesh. The assemblage is made up of the following forms: Synodophycus euthemos, Myxococcoides minor, Coniunctiophycus gaoyuzhuangense, Siphonophycus kestron, Siphonophycus robustum, Eoentophysalis magna, Glenobotrydion aenigmatis and Huroniospora microreticulata. The assemblage comprises both filamentous as well as coccoidal forms of cyanobacterial affinity. The forms are associated with algal clasts.
