- Authors
Knapp, Chuck; Gipple, Jack
- Abstract
This article describes an outpatient contemplative psychology treatment modality, Windhorse, in terms understandable to clinicians with ego psychology-based concepts of group dynamics and to those in any psychotherapeutic treatment facility. Described is a complex overlapping system of treatment groups that together form the transferential field of the treatment team. The phenomena of transference, countertransference, exchange, and split transferences are described from a mindfulness-based perspective, within the treatment groups, which include the clients, family, and staff. Clinical supervision within the team is discussed.
