The article discusses defendants' rights to a fair and adequate trial in ineffective assistance of counsel claims in the U.S. Topics discussed include the right to effective assistance to counsel in a criminal proceeding under the Sixth Amendment, the Supreme Court case Strickland v. Washington, and suggested remedies to the impossibility of prevailing on ineffective assistance of counsel claims.
