The article discusses the safety issues involving semiautomatic rifles as weapons in the U.S. Also cited are the enactment of the Sullivan Act of 1911, the Supreme Court case New York State Rifle & Pistol Association Inc. v. Bruen, the enactment of the National Firearms Act of 1934 (NFA), and whether the Second Amendment protects the right of an individual to possess firearm.
