O Movimento Puritano e João Calvino.

- Abstract
The purpose of this article is to demonstrate that the English Puritan movement was actually an expansion of Calvin's theology and practice and not a deviation from them. There have been recently several attempts to set the historical Reformed confessions over against the teachings of the great reformer and thus to discredit them. These attempts are partially due to the influence of neo-orthodoxy. A brief evaluation of the validity of such claim is offered in this article. The author's conclusion is that Reformed piety, as reflected in the historical confessions, stands as an abiding standard of reformation and revival.
