- Title
DESIGNING SHELL & TUBE HEAT EXCHANGERS: Avoid Vibration From The Start.
- Authors
Polley, Graham T.; Farfan, M. A. Vidal; Pugh, Simon J.
- Abstract
The article discusses analyses used in the design of shell and tube heat exchangers. Topics covered include the parameter plot by Poddar and the benefits of vibration analysis, causes of tube bundle vibration and calculating the vibration criteria. A diagram on the velocity ratio of tube bundles is presented.
