- Abstract
This paper covers stories of change of young researchers who participated in a training program developed by the "Instituto Desarrollo" from Paraguay. The program is a learning opportunity and an answer to the need that many young people have to get started in social research. Currently Paraguayan universities have limit possibilities of working in knowledge production, especially in the field of social sciences. To understand the process experienced by these young researches, this article analyses the socio-historical context and the institutional and professional weakness of social research in Paraguay, analyzing the changes that were taking place in the lives of participants exposed to this program.
