- Abstract
The article discusses the country of Serbia as among the top five countries with the most number of applications seeking asylum in European countries for the years 2000 to 2010. It aims to provide an analysis of facts on political, socio-economic and legal issues which drove Serbians from seeking asylum elsewhere. Included in the analysis are the increase in number for the years 1990-1999, after the year 2000, and the agreement on readmission and return to Serbia of its refugees.
