- Abstract
The article discusses a study on linguistic analysis using police interviews with African-Caribbean and White British suspects who are in custody suites across England and Wales. The analysis deals with linguistic features such as overlapping talk and so-prefaced questions and the implications of repetition of questions and accusations. It explains the result of overlapping talk on responsivity based on quantitative analysis. The research stated the cause of racial inequality in the overlapping talk and so-prefaced questions analyses.
