- Abstract
In this article, the authors focus on the differences in the functions of glutamine amidotransferase subunit of pyridoxal 5'-phosphate synthase present in Bacillus subtilis and Bacillus circulans. They inform that BtrC2, a non-catalytic subunit of 2-deoxy-scyllo-inosose (DOI) synthase in Bacillus circulans, is involved in butirosin biosynthesis. They mention that a homolog of glutamine amidotransferase subunit (PdxT) does not stabilize BtrC2.
