- Abstract
This article presents a discussion on a study by Bradley Jones and Rachel T. Johnson on the use of Gaussian Process model in computer simulation research. The authors believe that the uncertainty intervals on unsampled points generated by using a plug-in approach from maximum likelihood estimates may be too short. Their own experiences confirm that computer models are widely used in many areas of science and engineering, and the need to understand the performance of such models is critical.
