- Abstract
The MeOH extract was evaporated to dryness under vacuum to give a brown extract. In addition, an EtOAc extract prepared from stem bark of I A. africana i showed I in vitro i cytotoxic activity on prostate cancer and breast carcinoma cells [[9]]. The air-dried, powdered stem barks (500 g) were extracted with methanol by percolation at room temperature. On the other hand, a methanolic stem bark extract of I A. africana i exhibited, I in vitro i , a high level of activity against I Trypanosoma brucei brucei i , [[7]] whereas a 50% aqueous EtOH stem bark extract showed a low level of I in vitro i antiprotozoal activity against I Trypanosoma i , I Leishmania i , and I Plasmodium i parasites [[8]].
