- Abstract
The authors discuss the nephropathia epidemica (NE) and its out break in Europe. The authors explores the causes and symptoms of NE in which it says that Puumula virus (PUUV) causes NE which symptoms includes fever, myalgia, and acute renal failure (ARF). The authors say that NE is only prevalent in the northeast of France with the highest cover of beech forest and that NE cases in Germany is the highest in Western Europe. They stress that NE epidemics can be expected if global warming continue.
