- Authors
Murchison, William; Mechmann, Edward; Schneck, Stephen F.; Mills, David; McGowan, Jo; Ryskind Teti, Rebecca; Anderson, Ryan T.; Torre, Sarah
- Abstract
Information about a symposium inspired by the articles written by George McKenna and Peter Steinfels in the Fall 2013 and Winter 2014 issues of the journal is presented. Senior editor William Murchison and longtime contributors Jo McGowan and Rebecca Ryskind Teti address the proposal of Steinfeils that the Catholic Church stop insisting on conception as a legal marker for protecting human life. The symposium also tackles the support of legislation establishing a later gestational cut-off date.
