- Title
New Zealand's Unlawful Immigration Policy.
- Authors
Chauvel, Charles
- Abstract
The article presents an argument about the inability of the human rights legislation to put a stop to the unlawful immigration policy against same-sex couples in New Zealand. The author emphasizes that the new human rights legislation prescribes the prohibition of discrimination on the ground of sexual orientation. However, the Human Rights Commission has revealed that the Immigration Service can continue the discrimination even after new anti-discrimination laws come into effect because an exemption's been built into the act.
