- Abstract
The article reports on the impact of political changes in Brazil, particularly the shift from Bolsa Família to Auxílio Brasil, on Afro-Brazilian women beneficiaries. Topics include the influence of race, class, and gender on voting preferences, the debate between petismo (support based on political ideology) and lulismo (support based on charismatic leadership), and the exploration of whether low-income Afro-Brazilian women demonstrate characteristics of both concepts.
