- Abstract
Among different insect pests of teak, teak skeletonizer, Eutectona machaeralis Walker is a serious pest. During the survey, an outbreak was found in teak plantations and forest areas caused by E. machaeralis. In the last week of August 2023 and in the month of September 2023, all the leaves were suddenly found more infested and within a month, all leaves were skeletonized. The leaves turned brownish. Large numbers of larvae were found in all the leaves, capable of significant damage to teak trees.
