- Title
K.J. Gregory and the Devon instrumented catchments.
- Abstract
In contrast, the Rosebarn catchment on Exeter's northeast margin could be classed as an experimental catchment since it was instrumented to examine the hydrological and geomorphological consequences of urban development (Walling & Gregory, 1970). The five instrumented catchments in east Devon could be characterized as representative catchments, with the implication that data could be transferred to unmonitored catchments elsewhere in the region (Boughton, 1968; Gregory & Walling, 1968a). A final example of Gregory's work in the Devon instrumented catchments is his examination of Rosebarn's streamflow response to further construction activity (Gregory, 1974).
