- Abstract
An essay is presented on the economic and literary aspects of eclectic American georgic narratives using both enclosure and globalization as operative paradigms. It discusses the interdependent evolution of both American and English-style enclosure and globalization as well as explores the importance of the elements of Jeffersonian political-economic thought that underlie American enclosure and globalization. "The Grapes of Wrath" by John Steinback and "The Frog Run" by John Elder is examined.
