- Abstract
In order to improve the efficiency of switching power supply in traditional welding machine, a new welding power source is designed. The principle of the design is based on an improved phase-shift full-bridge zero-voltage-switching PWM converter, in which resonators and clamp diodes inductance are added. The reason that the converter can eliminate the voltage spike at both ends of the converter secondary side output rectifier diode and the high efficiency property are analyzed. Then the simulation waveform of PS-FB-ZVS PWM converter based on Pspice is obtained and a 2.4 k W, 50 Hz experimental prototype is designed. The experimental results show that the designed prototype with 2.4 k W rechargeable power supply has high efficiency and reliability as well as the great practical value.
