- Abstract
The article presents an essay on uterus transplantation in women. Uterus transplant is an attempt to improve the woman's quality of live by allowing her to give birth. Gestational surrogacy which involves women who will rent their wombs for a fee to other women so they may bear children, is not an option for not having a functioning uterus. Uterus transplant failed the clinical equipoise test, in which the risk-benefit ratio of the experimental procedure should be equal to existing alternatives.
